Play to Podium

Channel Description

As we know, physical activity is central to a healthy body and mind. In schoolyards, backyards or community parks, participation in sports, recreational and leisure activities – with its physical, psychological and social benefits – is essential for kids with disabilities too.

Play to Podium magazine(P2P) is here to help parents and professionals achieve their activity goals for kids with special needs. An initiative from DT Publishing, publishers of award-winning Active Living magazine, P2P will help youth discover their potential through adapted physical activities of all kinds.

Play to Podium is “Peer Support for Parents.” It’s Play to Podium magazine for adults. It’s the GO PLAY newsletter for youth. It’s an interactive online community for resources and sharing experiences for parents and professionals.

All kids should have the chance to reach for their dreams and achieve their personal podium, whatever that may be. There’s always a way to play.

Yours in Play,

Jeff Tiessen, Publisher, Paralympian & Parent
